The Village of Dolton Department of Revenue
The Dolton Revenue/Water Department works to maximize collections of revenues for the Village in a manner that promotes fair and consistent enforcement of Village ordinances.

The Department of Revenue is located in Dolton’s Village Hall Harper Municipal Building (14014 Park Avenue). We are open Mon-Tues and Thurs-Fri. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Wednesdays, the Department of Revenue is open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Driver's License and Registration
You are required by state law to have your driver’s license and state registration changed within 30 days of a change of address. This information, showing proof of residency, is required for the purchase of a village vehicle sticker.
Village Stickers
Purchase a Village Vehicle Sticker within thirty (30) days of moving into Dolton or thirty (30) days after purchasing a vehicle. You do not have to wait for the plates to be issued. Please bring in your vehicle vin # when applying for a Village Vehicle Sticker.
If you trade in your vehicle, be sure to remove the current vehicle sticker and bring it in for a duplicate/transfer. Vehicle stickers are available for sale December 1st each year for the following year. All vehicle stickers are due before March 1st of the current year; otherwise late penalties will be applicable.
Dolton Village Vehicles Stickers for cars only are on sale at the Dolton Currency Exchange in the Village Mall located at 14200 Chicago Road, downtown Dolton.
Voter Registration
You must register to vote in person at Village Hall located at 14014 Park Avenue. You must be a resident of Dolton 30 days prior to applying for registration. Two proofs of residency are required; one must be a photo id.
Water Bills
Water bills are issued quarterly by the Rev./Administrative Service Department. Village water is purchased from the City of Chicago. Payments of Village water bills should be made promptly to the Village Revenue/Administrative Service Office. Full payment is due by date noted on water bill.
**** PLEASE NOTE ANY OTHER PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS MUST BE MADE IN PERSON AT VILLAGE HALL REVENUE/ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE DEPARTMENT OFFICE PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OF A WATER SHUT-OFF NOTICE, PLEASE BRING/ OR SEND IN YOUR WATER BILL OR YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER WHEN MAKING PAYMENTS TO THE OFFICE. ****
Water Turn on Fees
Water turn on fees are $75.00 prior to 2:30 p.m. no turn on after 2:30 p.m. A new water meter for residential property is $150.00 (cost subject to change per ordinance).
Water Meter Readings
When the meter reader fails to gain access to read your meter, a yellow card is left for you to fill in the water reading. To avoid estimated bills, please read the water meter, place the reading on the yellow card, sign, place a stamp on the card, and mail it back to the Revenue/Administrative Service Department.
Village personnel must enter your home at least once a year to read your water meter
